Privacy Policy

USA Datanet's mission is to leverage leading-edge communications technologies, creating convenient and affordable products to improve the way you exchange information. We're also committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we gather about you, how we use it and the means by which we keep it secure.

What Information Do We Collect and How Do We Use It?

When you register with USA Datanet, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, such as your name, street address, telephone number and e-mail address. In addition, we require your Social Security Number.

We use your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address to contact you about USA Datanet or about your account, to send your monthly invoices, and to send you information about other USA Datanet products and services we think might interest you. We do not sell, share, rent or otherwise disclose mailing lists or any personal information to any outside person or entity.

We require your Social Security Number for two reasons:

1. Protection of your account. When you call in to request information on your account, we will ask for your Social Security Number or a portion of it for verification purposes. This will help prevent unauthorized parties from accessing your account, activating unauthorized numbers or changing the PIN.

2. Protection of our business. Since customer accounts are based on phone and Internet usage, use of a valid Social Security Number allows us to confirm the customer's information for billing and credit purposes.

We assure you that we protect the confidentiality of the information provided by our customers. All USA Datanet employees sign a non-disclosure agreement as a condition of employment. In an effort to protect the confidentiality of our customers, USA Datanet intends to prosecute anyone violating this agreement to the fullest extent of the law.

What About Using the Online Registration Page?

USA Datanet takes all reasonable precautions to protect its customers' personal information. We use industry-standard on-line security measures to protect your information. Please note, however, that no transmission over the Internet can be 100% secure.

To provide you with helpful resources, USA Datanet's website may contain links to certain other sites. We cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of these sites; you should refer to these sites' privacy policies for details.

Minors

USA Datanet has no intention of collecting any personal information (that is, name, street address, telephone number, or email address) from individuals under 18 years of age. If a minor has provided us with personal information, a parent or guardian of that minor should contact us at the address listed at the bottom of this policy if they would like this information deleted from our records. We will use reasonable efforts to delete the minor's information from our existing files.

Collection of Internet Usage Data

For Internet access customers of USA Datanet, our servers do not currently gather information about which sites customers visit on the Internet. This practice may be put in place in the future to improve service quality and would only be used in the aggregate.

E-mail Contents

We will not read or disclose to third parties private e-mail communications that are transmitted using USA Datanet services except as required to operate the service or as otherwise authorized by law.

Improper Conduct

USA Datanet may use personal information to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity, activity that threatens the network, or activity that otherwise violates the customer agreement for that service. Personal information will be disclosed if required by court order or law.
